Posted 09/24/2006 - 9:42pm by Saint Why did it say (before my post) that Knock was the last to post when it seems that Quade was? Did anyone else notice that?

Posted 08/23/2006 - 9:18pm by DelMonte A question we should ask ourselves is "Could it mother fucking happen here?"
Posted 08/22/2006 - 9:20pm by quade I mother fucking loved Snakes on a mother fucking Plane. And yes, I did clap when Samuel L. Mother Fucking Jackson said "I've had it with these mother fucking snakes on a mother fucking plane!"
Posted 08/22/2006 - 6:19pm by StArLeTz Saw World Trade Center. It was very moving. It also wasn't political at all. Nothing to do with the Bush Administration, terrorists, or war. Just the plain and simple story of the two last people (port authority police officers) to be pulled from the rubble of the towers. I would recommend seeing it to those of you that like disaster movies based on true events. They also didn't show the planes impacting the buildings, just a few clips of real news footage that the characters watched on their tv's.
Posted 08/08/2006 - 1:30am by StArLeTz On the point of scary movies, I'm trying to decide if I want to see Pulse. I'm afraid from the trailer it will end up like White Noise. On Talledega they had a good trailer for Grudge Two. I've started watching a lot of Asian horror movies (wonder why... :/ ) and Grudge Two is actually closer to the original than the first one, they should have done them backward. IF you guys are curious, rent Ju-On. Both Grudge's are also directed by the same guy that did the original Japanese Ju-On, so it's good in that sense.
Posted 08/04/2006 - 10:47pm by StArLeTz Ok, I don't want to stir up controversy (sp?) or start a debate here, but who's going to see World Trade Center?? On a related note:
Posted 07/24/2006 - 10:19pm by KnocK I agree with Ed, the only movie of his so far that I didn't care for was 'The Village' (I still own it BTW :) ) The reason I didn't care for it, is because I had the "twist" figured out 10 min into the movie. That's why I loved 'Signs'...it's a story, a story of faith and I never expected a twist with it. I'm looking forward to seeing LITW, hehehe he told Disney _,|,, booyow! it's my movie bitch and someone will make it!
Posted 07/24/2006 - 5:31pm by quade Clerks 2 was fucking awesome. :) "It's not beastiality! It's inter-species erotica."
Posted 07/22/2006 - 10:44pm by Anubis I look forward to seeing this movie. The only movie of his I was disappointed with was the Village. It almost seemed that there was a catch to the movie just becaues thats what he was known for. To me it just wasn't up to caliber with his other films. I was hoping that Lady in the Water was gonna be a recovery and from what you say it just might be.
Posted 07/22/2006 - 4:55pm by Poohminator This movie is two stories. The fairytale that he told his children, and the tale of a director getting fed up with everyones crap. If you were disappointed with every movie he's done after the Sixth Sense, you will not like this movie. Unfortunately most people and critics go in to his movies expecting one thing, when the story M. Night is telling is another. They fail to see this other story. I see M. Night as an adult that refused to let his child fantasies go. Ghosts, comic book heroes, aliens, fairy tales. He brings the things that we loved as a kid to life. He puts realism into his movies. At the same time, he puts keys in all his movies to open the door to this fantastical world. The key is almost always faith. Now with that said. Lady in the Water (the fairytale) Lady in the Water (Directors Release) Spoiler Alert! Most directors will bend over for the studio execs, and as a result, you get either a bad movie, or a mindless movie. Sure these movies entertain and are fun, but we need variety. These movies are made to make money. That's it. These movies have no morals, and nobody cares what you think about the movie. Heck, they don't even care about the movie. They just want to see dollar signs. M. Night will not bend over for these guys. That's why he's not with Disney anymore. M Night has something to say, and he feels it important to tell us all. He has that right. He also understands that his movies need to entertain. So the message he delivers are subtle. That's why people hate that alien movie, Signs. They were looking for an alien movie, and was not fullfilled. They completely missed the underlying message of the film.
Ok. With that said. M. Night decides not to be subtle this time. He decides to tell everyone what he thinks of critics, and Hollywood execs too. The message of faith he speaks of to the audience, and to the critics willing to listen. People think that M. Night shows his inflating ego in this movie, mostly cause the character he plays has a very important role in the future of this story. I feel every character is a part of M. Night, and the message is clear. Everyone character says something in the film that relates both to the fairy tale and M. Night. I'd have to watch the film again to quote them. I feel that this movie is the directors release. This movie is his soapbox, if you will. It's like a bad marriage. He's divorced his studio, and is off to start fresh. Get his identity back. I believe from here on out we'll see some new and improved films.
Posted 07/22/2006 - 2:06am by StArLeTz Pooh and I went to see Lady in the Water tonight. At first I watched HBO first look or whatever like a little preview (something that usually shows up on the DVD) and I got a little worried that it might not be good but really it was. I officially like EVERY movie M. Night Shamalalalaman has put out. Spoiler Alert! He has a bigger role in this one, which is cool, he's a good actor, would be a great second job for him if he ever quit directing, unlike other actors that decided to direct. *Cough cough* Robert Redford.
Spoiler Alert! Question I have is, why do all the "antagonist" creatures look like spikey canines? I wonder if he had nightmares about them or something. Anyone got a guess? Remember the creatures on The Village? They looked like these creatures, except the Lady creatures walk on all fours instead of hind legs only.

Posted 07/13/2006 - 11:28pm by Poohminator For some reason, White Chicks was a HUGE success. Or, at least, it appeared to be....HAHA Little Man trailer just came on as I type this. Anyway, working at Hastings, White Chicks was rented ALOT. When a movie stops being rented so often the take it off the wall. I can bet you that as of tonight, it's still on the wall as a "best renter".
Posted 07/13/2006 - 11:04pm by Edge78 I didnt know whether to post this here or in "Things that piss you off", but I chose here.

Posted 05/23/2006 - 3:23pm by Chains i know he would have been cheesy as an actor but i think goldberg or HHH would have made a better looking Juggernaut
Posted 05/23/2006 - 12:34pm by Poohminator A couple of the pictures I've seen him in character disappointed me. He looked like an old strong man. Rippled and wrinkled and a little out of shape. I've also seen part of the movie footage of him ramming into and busting a wall out that was really cool. We'll see soon enough though. Thanks Quade for the heads up on staying late. I usually do JIC. Side note, at the end of the MI3 credits, they thank the Hanso Foundation. Neat. |
