Yeah UFC has been starting to contract pride fighters like Rampage the guy who beat Chuck Lidell and a few others. A lot of people seem to think the Pride Fighters seem to be more advanced than alot of the UFC fighters. So maybe bringing them into the fold will kick the fighting up another notch.

If you haven't noticed fighting like MMA, boxing, and kick boxing are the only sports I like to watch.Smile

Last night was my first experience with it. I think my friend said something about Pride being integrated into the UFC. They were signing those fighter on or something. I'm not sure how that will affect viewing though. Pride fights are usually on cable, right?

So last nights fight. It was pretty entertaining to watch. I enjoyed it. It looks like I'll be visiting BWW for some PPV action in the future....wife permitting.Wink

Does anyone here watch UFC? I never realized that it was more than just 2 guys beating the shit out of each other. I'm about to watch my first fight tonight. Spike TV UFC75. My friend is running a pool, so that's how I got into it. I'll let you know tomorrow if it's anything interesting.

yeah, i've seen some stories that say the ratings are down, then other stories that say that they're up.

though, a lot of the ratings that say that it's up probably includes the iTunes store where you can buy episodes of it.

season finale's tonight. 90-minutes worth of fucking-awesome!

I guess they said that ratings were down this last season. Which is weird considering everyone I know saying how good it's getting.

Yeah, that's gonna suck. They start production in Vancouver this month, but they're switching the season to an on-season schedule rather than off-season like almost ALL cable shows do -- since it was doing so well in the ratings. There's also some scuttlebutt about moving it to NBC. Which will absolutely suck -- if it goes to Network, it's gonna start being really crappy.

Battlestar Galactica will change it's format starting season 3. It will begin it's 3rd season in October and likely run the entire season with no long breaks. Stargate will still hold it's typical format.

The server. It's a P2 600 with a Hauppage PVR150 as the video capture card running Gentoo linux. Though, I'd recommend something with more CPU power...Smile

...And a PVR 350 would be better.

Most of my administration I do for it is while I'm at work. There's no mobile interface for it, but it would be cool to have.

Do they have a Mobile interface at MythWeb? That'd be sweet. Do you find yourself scheduling your MythTV box away from home quite a bit?

Well, I have a MythTV box, and i've got the MythWeb site installed on it, so I can record and schedule from anywhere I can get to the web. Isn't living in the future cool?

Ok, so not exactly a TV show, but related nonetheless.

How many of you have Tivo, and are on the Verizon network? Well, coming this summer, you will be able to program your Tivo from your cell phone. You may be asking yourself, "Why?" How many times have you been in the store and remember that a show was coming on that you wanted to watch, but forgot. Well, just call it in. Or have you been somewhere and a buddy is telling you about a show that you want to see, and you tell yourself, "I'm going to have to remember to watch that next week." Now you can program it right when you hear of it. I don't know, I just think this is pretty sweet.
