Do you ever see "your car" and think to yourself, "paradox be damned! I'm getting some fucking lottery ticket numbers..."?

I don't think you would get the same kind of car as you have in the time period you go back too. It wouldn't make sense. It might be best to just go visit yourself if you have a message.

Of course, if your car is what you convert to the time machine that might make a little more sense...except I would still recommend going to visit if you have a message, rather than the drive by message.

...whenever you are driving down the road and see a vehicle of the same make/color/model as yours coming the opposite way, you are 60% convinced it's you from the future. You roll down your window waiting for that ever so important message from your future self. And when it doesn't happen, you tell yourself, "some day, it will happen, and I will be ready."

What's the internet for, if not to take something simple and inane; and turn it into an overly-complicated, rules-laden system, of which there will be multiple permutations of said systems over time?

Those rules are just way too complicated. One person ALWAYS has to take something fun and turn it into something totally ridiculousSmile

OK, maybe not a geek, but...

...if you and all the guys (and some of the girls) in your corporate office environment play the circle game. (and several of them take it very seriously).

You get your Netflix DVDs in the mailbox -- then you go get online to look at your queue to see what you got.
