yeah, mark and I saw that the first day... figured everyone knew already... the halo 24 means the same thing that halo means on all his albums... the binary takes you to a web page, when you decode it, that gives you more of the story... also theres a 1 866 number on the back of the CD case, for calling in pirates looks like a government thing.. call it, its part of the story too... let me know when you find the rest of the stuff on the CD..

Holy shit!!!
If you got the new NIN CD, the CD is heat sensitive!!! Play it in a player, then take it out. There is binary beneath it and "Halo 24". Not sure what it means, but pretty freakin sweet.

I took it out of the player and thought, "Wait. I don't remember all these ones and zeros." I then went in my memory banks and remembered that the CD was black. Freakin awesome!!!

now that you say that Knock, I think I'm going to have to go back and listen to it. I have only really listend to it a little bit at work but mostly when I'm at the gym, so I'm not really paying attention to the lyrics. See with downword spiral, broken, fixed, sin, and Pretty hate machine... the lyrics were right there and the music was ball busting.. with his newer stuff, you have to kinda listen real close and pay attention to it to get the lyrics and the music seems to experimental and not ear bursting, blood shitting, raw and hard.

Year Zero... KnocK's take on things. I am by no means an expert on NIN, I kinda got in on the game late. I actually can thank Quade and Nil for getting me to listen. Quite a bit of Quade in the GH days.

Ok I have been listening to the album, and I do like it. When it hits the stores I will go and pick it up, because well, it's NIN.

Nil had said that he liked it, but he[reznor] still hasn't surpassed 'Downward Sprial'. At first ear glance, I completely agreed with him, it didn't seem as full, not fleshed out. I thought 'DS' was much better and 'Pretty Hate Machine' Coming in behind that. Even 'With Teeth' was above this latest album.

Then I found a little secret, the greatness of this album is not musically, although even that is growing on me (as any NIN album will do). I had listened to this in the truck or through my receiver where the bass is very high, and not all the words are audible. Well I had put the album on my phone last night, and listened to is as I mowed the yard this evening.

With headphones you can hear all the lyrics, even when he whispers.

This is by far one of the best, if not the best albums in my opinion. The story that the lyrics tell is awesome. So much in fact I want a book based on it. I know he is supposed to bring out a movie or something, but a book would be awesome. I would love to hear more opinions on this album. Quade and Anubis I know like the nails. (sorry tobby, 'like the nails' is an inside joke I will have to let you in on sometime when I call ya...sometime this year.) Anyone else who 'likes the nails' please let me know what you think of this album. Even if you hate it.....cause....then.....I will tell you why you are wrongWink
